Thankfully yesterday’s strong winds dropped and although the sea looked less than inviting this year the times were some of the quickest for a number of years thanks to the weak current.
Congratulations once again to Colin Dixon, that four wins on the trot here at Worthing – surely someone can beat him! It was good also to see Coventry’s Danielle Stewart convincingly winning the women’s race. The £100 ‘first across the line’ went to time trial specialist Kevin King from Tri UK who built an unassailable lead on the bike to win. We’ll see if we can tweak the format for next year to get and event closer race.
