Online entry has now closed but we will be having entries on the day at £15 and £18. Please make sure you leave plenty of time to park as the seafront is likely to be busy. The races start at 1015 and registration is open from 0900hrs. The latest forecast for Sunday looks reasonable with light winds, cloud, sun and 19-20 degrees –The sea temperature has dropped to 17.1 degrees but this is likely to be warmer inshore. Wetsuits look the preferred option but are not compulsory at the moment.Jacobs Steel Estate Agents are the event sponsor for the third successive year and will be providing engraved glass trophies to the category winners. This year we are supporting The Swimming Gardener to raise money for Chestnut Tree House. Steve (the swimming gardener) will be swimming from Littlehampton to Worthing Pier and back (16 mile tidal swim) on Saturday so please support him at http://www.swimminggardener.org.uk/.
Richard John (Hair & Beauty Products) has also supported the event for the third year and together with The All-Beef Burger Company (www.allbeefburgerco.co.uk) they will be offering a great deal on their Birdman Burger with free fries! Having tried one last year we can thoroughly recommend the gourmet burger bar in Royal Arcade opposite the Pier. Why not grab your lunch and then watch the Birdman Rally which starts at 12 from the end of the Pier. Richard John will also be providing a free men’s haircut voucher or women’s beauty treatment voucher.
