Additional race details have been added to the event page together with a competitor list which has been updated today (1800hrs Monday 25/7/11). There will be a further update on Thursday which is the closing date for online entries. There will be 4 waves starting at 1200hrs at 5 minutes intervals with the citizen’s wave starting last at 1215hrs. The breakdown of waves will be determined when final numbers are known, but at this stage all females will be in the first wave, followed by all male veterans, then junior and senior males and finally the citizen’s wave. It’s great to see that we have competitors from each age group up to ‘N’ (70-74yrs)The current sea temperature is 17.2 degrees, but this will vary during the week and may reach 19-20 degrees dependent on the weather. Wetsuits are likely to be optional. Race entry fee includes a race t-shirt, free image downloads courtesy of www.sussexsportphotography.com, a free gourmet burger, Glaceau Vitamin Water, Clif Bar and trophies for BTF age groups and the citizen’s wave winners from our event sponsor (L Guess Jewellers). BLOC eyewear will provide the category winners with sunglasses.
Online entries close on Thursday 28th July 2011 at midday – entries are still available.
