Bluebell Post Race News

Results from yesterday’s 10 mile and 10km Bluebell Runs were uploaded yesterday and can be seen HERE. Race reports were sent to Athletics Weeklywww.tri247.com and www.run247.com.  To see Run247’s report together with a selection of stunning photos courtesy of www.sussexsportphotography.com click HEREDon’t forget FREE unlimited race day images are available HERE.     The 10 mile race took athletes through the bluebell woods before heading out onto the open countryside of the South Downs for some breath taking views.  Local runner James Walker from Steyning AC held off a number of top regional runners to win in an impressive 1:00:02 on a tough course; 29 seconds ahead of Tone Zone Vet runner Stephen McLoughlin. The performance of the day was from Sharon Elder from Aldershot, Farnham District AC who was 6th overall in 1:09:18.  Natasha Swan from Seaford Striders was second in 1:11:46.  READ MORE

Final Update | Bluebell 10mile & 10km Trail Run

Limited entries will be available on the day but please arrive early to register. We’re all set for a great race, the weather forecast looks good, sun, rain, partly cloudy, 12 degrees with 13mph SW winds.  THE COURSE IS WET!  Most of the course is now wet but firm underfoot.  Quite a few muddy patches have now developed due to the rain over the last few days.  Trail shoes are recommended.  Please remember the 10 mile race starts at 1015hrs and the 10km race starts at 1030hrs.  Those of you doing the 10 mile race please make sure you check the confirmed route HERE – it’s exactly 10 miles now.  As usual we’ll have live coverage of the London Marathon in the registration marquee in the Fox Pub garden. Pre or post massage will also be available courtesy of The Secret Spa Company.  Worthing’s top coffee barista ‘Dinkycinno’ will at the race to provide spectators with his usual great cup of coffee.  The Oat Hut will also be on site, specialising in organic porridge and other oat based products.  Our hosts The Fox Pub will be providing tea, coffee, bacon butties or gastronomic delights from their extensive lunch menu!  Live finish times will be streamed to a TV monitor in the marquee courtesy of Race Timing Systems.  Don’t forget your race entry fee also includes unlimited image downloads from www.sussexsportphotography.com
