There are still places available for the event on Sunday 3rd June – so why not make it a Diamond Jubilee weekend!    Race details and maps are available via the Event Schedule tab; estimated swim starts times will be posted here next weekend.  Why not pop down to the lido and test out the heated pool – check out their opening times HERE.Competitors will receive one of REP’s classic race T Shirts with a great logo courtesy of top designer Smeezer.com.  There are also ‘Lady Fit’ shirts for the girls which proved very popular last year.  Not only do competitors get a great T Shirt, but also FREE unlimited image downloads with our partners at Sussex Sport Photography, a bottle of Glaceau Vitamin Water and a Clif Bar.   If you are thinking of bringing the family there’s loads to see and do around the town especially as its Diamond Jubilee weekend.  Arundel Castle and River Trips, café’s and shops, Arundel Wetlands Wildfowl Reserve, Swanbourne Lake or just relax on the river at The Black Rabbit Pub.

Steyning Triathlon – Results

Race results for the Standard and Sprint race can be seen on the events page.  Race Timing Systems posted the results online by midday and they’re already on www.tri247.com together with a race report.

Congratulations to Brighton Phoenix Tri’s Thomas Hopkins and Sharon Young from Virgin Active Brighton for winning the Standard race.  As usual there was some close racing in the Sprint race with Gary Laybourne (SLH Tri) winning in 53:06.  Torq Fitness’s Louise Bardsley dominated the female category but also finished 7th overall; very impressive. Steyning Triathlon Final Instructions

Race day is looming so don’t forget to read the race details and maps which are on the website.  You need to be on poolside 10-15 minutes before your start time as detailed in the swim start list.   We’re hoping to get all athletes on road this year by 0930hrs.  As in previous years, some of you will encounter the cycling time trial that uses part of this course.  Both sets of marshals are aware of each other’s race, but please make sure you’re familiar with the course BEFORE arriving.  If someone rockets by you on the cycle don’t be too disheartened, it’s probably the National Champion Michael Hutchinson clocking another 46min for a 25mile TT!
