River Adur 2.5km Swim Shoreham 22/07/12

Sunday 22nd July 2012 – Start time approx 14:15hrs – Entry Fee £20. – Shoreham, West Sussex |  WETSUITS MAY BE COMPULSORY

‘Swim the Adur’ – This is another fantastic swim to rival our Ironman Distance River Arun Swim at Littlehampton.  The format for this race is slightly different in that athletes will swim out 1.25km to Shoreham’s historic toll-bridge before returning to the Adur Outdoor Activity Centre at Norfolk Bridge.  Whilst swimming at ‘slack water’ there will still be currents to negotiate in order to find the quickest route.  The exact start time will be dependent on river and weather conditions but our aim is to give you the best possibility of securing your personal best.  All the usual REP safety cover will be provided, including RIB’s, kayaks and safety spotters on the river bank.  The AOAC will be able to provide showers and refreshments – Shoreham town centre will also be open.   ONLINE ENTRY IS NOW OPEN!
