We hope you enjoyed today’s race and the special atmosphere of Firle Place despite the tough conditions.

There are a couple of duplicates which we’ll check via the finish camera and also a couple of missing times. We’ll publish the final results on Wednesday. There was some great support at the event which saw George Beecher and a very impressive Junior Nikki Gatland from Tuff Fitty Tri Club win the 1km event (Nikki was 3rd overall). In the 2km race Pip Bennett from St Pauls Barnes finished ahead of the impending bundle (!) with Liz Price from G29 Wild Swimmers Eastbourne holding off the Tuff Fitty team.

Thankfully yesterday’s strong winds dropped and although the sea looked less than inviting this year the times were some of the quickest for a number of years thanks to the weak current.
