With just over a week to go there are still entries available for the 2km and 1km Birdman swims at Worthing, West Sussex. Online entry closes on Thursday 11th August at 5pm. Race details and maps can be seen via the event schedule tab above (Worthing Birdman Swim). The 2km race will be starting at 10:15am and the 1km at 10:20am. Start times may be flexible. The actual International Birdman Rally starts at midday from the end of the Pier so why not grab some lunch, sit on the beach and enjoy the ‘aviators’! A competitor list will be added on Monday and there will be a further update later in the week after the online closing date. The current sea temperature is 18.8 degrees, but this will vary during the week and may reach 19-20 degrees dependent on the weather. Wetsuits are likely to be optional although we would prefer competitors to wear one.
