Steyning Festival of Sport Results New!

Thanks to all the competitors and marshals who turned out today. We were blessed with great weather again and whilst some of the roads were busy everything seemed to run smoothly. The 5km Road Race was a close run affair with Paul Froud from Brighton just pipping Steyning's Darrell Stone. Good to see Darrell running after retiring from the International Race Walking scene. The ladies race was dominated by juniors which was really encouraging. A2 Tri's Sarah Wigmore held off local running sisters Amicia and Eloise Lee from Steyning. Cathy Ulliott won the Vets race after a long injury and Arena 80's Jonathon Britten took the other Vets category behind Paul Froud & Gary Thayre.

The National Ranking Duathlon had a very competative field over a longer course. Toby Jameson from Total Fitness Bath and Team Lifestyle's Paul Holdaway battled it out for most of the course with Toby taking the spoils on the last lap. The womens race was dominated by Emma Bradley from Wimbledon. Bristol's Nicola Bushell was second with Team REP's Niki Treacy third. Provisional results can now be seen for both races on the relevant events pages. Race reports will be sent to the BTF, Tri 247 and 220 magazine. Steyning Duathlon

Sorry we've been 'off air' for a while! An updated competitor list have been added for the duathlon tomorrow. Online entry for this and the 5km run have closed and we will only accept a few entries on the day for the duathlon. Please make sure you're at registration by 11am. There are still plenty of spaces for the 5km run for entries on the day.

Steyning Races

Maps and results from previous years have now been added to the relevant 'Event' page for all the Steyning races. In addition there is a newsletter with up to date news for Easter Monday's Duathlon and a competitor list which will be regularly updated. Further newsletters will be added for the other events in due course.
