Congratulations to Chloe Pollard who set a great new course record for the 3.5km swim in 42:00. 49 swimmers went under the hour for the 3.5km swim and 50 in the 2.5km swim. First male in the 3.5km swim was Andy Tester (STA) in 45:53 and in the 2.5km swim Team Otter ran away with the prizes by taking 5 of the top 6 places with Chris Sutton leading the way in 32:37 and Michelle Senecal in 33.28. Special mention goes to Hawaii based visiting swimmer Miki David from Oahu Club Masters who finished 4th overall to be first female over 40. As with all REP events the entry fee includes FREE unlimited images which have already been indexed and uploaded HERE
The Firle trail runs are not far away now. Sunday 14th September 2014, Firle Place near Lewes in East Sussex. There are three stunning runs to choose from; Half Marathon, 10km or the 5km Fun Run. All runs are set on the beautiful Firle Estate and South Downs National Park and are virtually all off road on trails with firm footing. Online entry is available HERE. It’s a great family day out, have breakfast with Countryside Catering or at The Ram Inn and then lunch afterwards!
Online entry for Saturdays River Adur 3.5km & 2.5km swim has now closed. There will be a limited number of entries on the day, but please arrive early if you intend to register. Entries are still available for this year’s swim in the River Adur at Shoreham-by-Sea. The event is part of the towns growing River Fest which includes live music, the arts, food and drink markets, a dragon boat race, a swan race and a classic car show on Adur Rec (Sunday). Arrive early, chill out, have a swim and then head into town for a spot of lunch and listen to some music; a perfect Saturday morning!
